Develop on PC
« on: Aug 17, 2014, 07:40 PM »
I've written a web program that allows you to develop MB Code on your PC and then watch it run on your device. This is in an alpha phase, so please leave suggestions or requests.

http://mbwebdb.freezoy.com/index.php

You will also need to run the mblivetest.bas programin Mintoris Basic.

Notes:
-DO NOT INCLUDE AN END STATEMENT IN YOUR PROGRAM
-Once your program has finished running, it will return to the mblivetest.bas
-If you press the back button and edit, you can see your source code.

Enjoy:P

This is actually kinda cool.  Good work.

I just have a question.  What happens to my code on your end once I'm done?
Not that have test this with anything special.  Just out of curiosity.
Thanks

This is currently not working due to server changes, but your code gets deleted when you exit the site

I tested it yesterday   and it seems to be working… I really just need to move it onto my own webserver

This is a really clever program. For a while I've been wanting to create a pc debugger where Basic and your phone would act as a web server. Much like the WiFi File Explorer. That would eliminate the need to upload to a hosting server.

Thanks mva. Please give some suggestions so I can improve the editor

Currently, the only thing I can think of is to increase the white space to the left of the editor.  I have encountered a problem when a program had many lines of code.  It just wouldn't compile or execute.  Short programs were no problem.
