Can you create an IDE for the Device?
« on: Jun 10, 2019, 11:28 AM »

It would really be useful if you could create an IDE that could run
on the Device while developing code.  Mainly for placing controls on
the screen and then attaching code to each control.

For example, I am trying to write an App that has a lot of button
images on the screen.  It is really tedious and time consuming to
compute the screen coordinates for each button that I want to
place onto the screen.  An IDE that runs on the Device would really
speed things up.

A good example of what I am talking about can be found in the
Basic4PPC Device IDE.  Basic4PPC was written for Pocket PC,
Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices.   You install the Device IDE
onto the device that you want to program and you can write BASIC
programs and design the GUI layout of your programs controls using
the IDE.

If you could implement something like this for Mintoris you would
have a real winner.  Mintoris has a very powerful command set
and would really benefit from a Device IDE that would allow you
to layout a screen form quickly.   This would really speed up application
development time.

I think Chuck is working in such a IDE since many, many month.
Until he's not ready, you can perhaps try to use this
