CH340G USB to Serial
« on: Dec 31, 2018, 11:11 AM »
Hello there,

Is there a way to know what USB to Serial chipset is supported?

I have here an arduino nano with CH340G chipset:
vendor ID: 6790
Product ID: 29987
Tested with "Usb Diagnostics.bas"

Programm says the "No driver - device is not supported"
Is there a way to add it to supported devices?

Thanks‼

Hello
For me it tells me the same thing and yet the communication is done well I think it should not be dealt with.

Hi,

@pipiiri - I'm confused by your answer - are you saying that you have proper comunication with uC even when UsbGetDriverName() found no driver?

@Mintoris - thanks, will wait for next release.

Sorry this is all taking so long. I'm working as fast as I can and I think it will be worth the wait.

Hello
yes I use a FTDI232 module to communicate with a PIC and its working very well, when I ask the driver I always have an empty string, initially I had searched to include a driver and I did not find the solution, now I have deleted the command "UsbGetDriverName" and I work like that.

Hi,

I have dug up my arduino duemilanove, with FTDI chipset.
And this one works as advertised.
driver is: FtdiSerialDriver

Thanks a lot for your help.
