Variable declarations/Equates
« on: Feb 22, 2012, 10:48 PM »
Chuck,
How many variables can you define on a line?
In an effort to make my tangled array code readable, and since there is no equate statement in this basic, I tried to define a set of standard named variables to uses as array offset equates. There are a large number of them and it takes up a hell of a lot of lines. ;-)

Is there a way to declare multiple variables per line?
Are you going to consider adding equates?
(I feel like Pinky on Animaniacs)…
How about allowing underscores on variable names?

Thanks for all your hard work on a cool product‼

I've always believed in doing one thing per line.  You can only declare one variable on a line.  You can have as many underscores as you like as long as the total variable name is 32 chars or less.

Underscores will be allowed in variable names in Version 4.3.  For some reason I thought you could already use them.
