While working on Basic version 4.2 I've had to do a lot of work with the internal scaling. I was wondering how well the SetScale command was working, so I tested hangman on a 480x800 screen and then on a 240x320 screen. I've attached screenshots of these tests below.
The hangman game can be found in the Applications section of the Programs board of this forum.
It is important to remember that there will be some skewing of rectangles and line and such if the ratio of the SetScale command is too different from the ratio of the screen the program is being run on. But, notice that the circle buttons in the hangman game and the text scale without skewing. This is because circles, text and bitmaps scale is (actual screen diagonal length / SetScale diagonal length). Not a perfect solution, but it works fairly well.
