Camera Video Background in Game Engine Mode
« on: Aug 04, 2016, 02:49 AM »
I've added one game engine command to turn on the camera. This will put the camera view behind all the game engine graphics.

GenCameraFeed On

Then just set the background color alpha to transparent to see the video. Simple. Works great in landscape and portrait. Portrait gave me a little trouble, but I got it. It's ready for mass testing, so I'm thinking release 7.4 tomorrow. I still have to update the reference (as usual). Wait till you see this one… ;)

The Basic Pro 7.4 upgrade has been released. It should be available shortly.

When you get the upgrade try this:

Code: [Select]
Orientation 2

GameEngine On

GenCameraFeed On

GenSetBackgroundColor 0,0,0,0

Touch x,y

If your camera is not working and you have some time to work on this problem, send an email to support@mintoris.com I'll send you a test version. I put in some messages to hopefully pinpoint the problem.

Thanks,
-Chuck

I suppose thats somewhat how a campaign mode will work when one eventually gets implemented just with a story and perhaps rewards in addition to what you have stated.

I like the idea.
I thought about it, but the problem for Magic would be that it has to rely on very specific rules, and Wagic doesnt respect half of them…
