Saving files
« on: Apr 16, 2018, 08:23 AM »
This is very annoying.  I save a file with a certain name.  I open it later after much work on it.  I then save it out with "Save As", delete everything and write new code.  But when I reopen MintorisBasic, my original file has been overwritten with my new one.  If I "Save As", I expect my old program to be out of memory and no longer active.  Now I have to rebuild all of the old code.

From the editor, press the menu button in the upper right, then press revert. You can revert back up to 10 prior saves (versions).

I will look into this problem in Version 8, but please use the "New File" option in the future to create a new file.

Aaahhhh!  THANK YOU, JESUS.  You may not know it, but you are him!  Got the code back on the 3rd Revert.
Whooh!

Now email those programs to yourself. It seems all the work I put into that backup system was worth it. I put it in a couple years ago and this is the first time I've heard of it being used.
